TANIWANI was launched in early March of 2000 and then rigged and completed to be ready for a week of trial sailing in mid April. Harald and Beate took a very loaded car to Sweden and Harald's parents flew in from Madeira. All very excited to see Taniwani, the new family member.

Off course, Harald's parents, old salts as well, had to come and inspect the new family member.

Harald's parents on board of TANIWANI who is the first time out at sea. It is still quite cold in April, but inside, the two Eberspächer heaters are keeping the cabin warm and cozy.

Taniwani moored at the little town of Smögen. It is still very early in the season, and the beautiful village, which is bustling with tourism in the summer, is peaceful and quiet.

We all start to fall in love with the  wonderful Swedish west coast and decide to stay in the area for a while.
